- “Beth”
- Life-sized: 56″ H x 29″ D x 26″ W
- Limited Edition of 12
Beth is a life-size bronze sculpture of a very personable 10 year old girl. When we flew out to meet Beth and her family it was a hot August day. We decided to have Beth and her sisters play with gardening tools outdoors. Beth picked up a bucket and was swinging it around as I got the inspiration for this sculpture. She is sculpted holding a bucket and was designed as an outdoor piece to go in her parent’s garden. Beth’s personality bursts forth from this sculpture showing what a lovely and gracious young lady this is. After the sculpture was created by Anita Watts, it was delivered to Art Castings of Colorado for casting into Bronze. Anita made two trips from her Ohio studio to Colorado to supervise the work and assist in the special custom patinas. The final sculpture of “Beth” is now installed in the garden area of her parents’ home in Dallas, Texas. The real Beth is the daughter of Brint and Amanda Ryan.
This sculpture can be cast in a Limited Edition of 12, and will make a wonderful addition to any outdoor garden area. Art Castings of Colorado is one of the finest Art Foundries in the US and their superior bronze castings and fine finishes withstand the elements of time when installed and maintained outdoors. The patinas were created by using Liver of Sulfur, rubbed back to reveal the highlights, with the metal heated to accept Ferric Nitrate in order to achieve the beautiful transparent red browns on “Beth”.
